New Music Video Alert: Jux- “Utaniua”

The best songs of all time are definitely those that are created from real life experiences. (Ask Taylor Swift). They bring out unfiltered emotions of artists, making them real and believe-able. Tanzanian RNB artist, Jux‘ latest single “Utaniua” is no exception.

Produced by Bob Maneck of AM Records, (who also produced “Umenikamata“), “Utaniua” (which means you will kill me) is a soulful RNB track that talks about Jux’ recently ended relationship with singer Vanessa Mdee. In the song, Jux expresses that he still does not know what he failed in terms of the relationship and where exactly things went wrong. The lyrics are simple, easy to understand and remember. The distinct piano and guitar strokes in the back ground add an urban pleasant feel.

The video was directed by Tanzania’s Hascana. The great and clear picture quality will enable it to compete on an international level. And while a non- Swahili speaking audience may not understand the lyrics, the story line brought out in the video is one that they would follow.

You can tell from the passion expressed through his voice that Jux poured out his soul on this one, making the song such a beautiful artistic creation.

What do you think about the song?

    • I agree. Jux did pour out his soul on this song. Sample more of his music. I’m sure you will like what he has to offer. I suggest you start with Sumaku featuring Vanessa Mdee.
